New Enrollment Requirement for 2021-22 School Year
STUDENT DENTAL EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT
New Mexico Administrative Code (NMAC) 6.12.13 was adopted on April 20, 2021 and outlines the student dental examination requirements
for enrollment. Beginning July 1, 2021, this rule requires schools to verify student records of a dental examination within the past year prior
to initial enrollment in the district or charter school. If the student has not had a dental examination within the past year, the parent or
guardian may sign a Student Dental Examination Waiver indicating their understanding of the risks associated with the student not receiving
a dental examination.
Please be aware your MVHS Administration will be reaching out to you for record of your student’s most recent dental examination the first week of August 2021.
