Congratulations to the soccer team, for going one, one, and one, at the Desert Academy Invitational. The Timberwolves tied with Desert Academy their first game, lost to Questa their second game, and beat Oak Grove their third game. Overall, Moreno Valley placed 5th out of 6 teams.

We had a great time at the tournament and lobo game. We are beginning to build some chemistry and flow with our soccer game. Aiden, Colin, Dyllon, and Izzy were a force to be reckoned with on the back line. Dyllon, Izzy’s, and Aiden’s patience and ability to pounce on the ball were magnificent. Colin’s perseverance to push through one of the biggest blisters ever seen and make one stop after another was impressive. Christian, Copelan, and Seb were stellar in the goal, and grew every second they were back there. All of the midfielders (Andrea, Marcy, Sebastian, Issac, Izzy, Christian, Copelan, Grace, Dyllon, Brady, and Icelynn) put in an incredible amount of effort, heart and chaos to disrupt the opponents attacks and control the game with a few nice passing sequences here and there. Copelan, Reece, Brady, and Icelynn are growing more and more into the forward role. We especially liked the hunger Reece and Icelynn exhibited for a goal. Keep it up and it will come. Overall, very impressive performance with such little preparation on the pitch. We can only imagine how much stronger we would have been with Ember and Hue.

Be sure to attend the team’s first home game against Tierra Encantada at  Allen Field, at 3:30 on Friday, September 21st. Admission is $3 for adults, and $2 for students.
