Please join the Staff and Students of MVHS in congratulating our graduating senior class of 2018. Graduation will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 10:30 am in the Moreno Valley High School Courtyard.

Alina Moore

Alina MooreWhat is one thing you will treasure from your education at MVHS?
One thing I treasure from my education at Moreno Valley High School is being able to have a close relationship with the teachers. I have been able to get help from teachers during times they are available. I treasure how the community of MVHS feels like a family.

How has MVHS prepared you for your next steps in life?
MVHS has prepared me for my next steps in life by setting high expectations. I have been taught many writing skills as well as studying skills to help prepare me for college.

What is your next step?

My next step in life is to attend Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa, and figure out what I want to do in my life.

What are you most excited for in your future?

I am most excited to get out in the world on my own and meet new people. I’m excited to learn how to adapt to living on my own.

What is your ideal career?

My ideal career would be to work with animals, but I have not yet decided exactly what I want to do with my life

What did you do for your Senior Project?

I worked with Sierra to come up with the yearbook.

Are you going to College? If so, what for?

Yes, I want to study something in the humanities, not sure exactly what yet.

What do you want to do with your life?

I want to do something that I enjoy everyday, and is beneficial to the world around me in some way.

What was your favorite thing about high school?

Probably getting out of my shell, and getting to experience new environments.

What would you change about high school?

Studying things in school that I was more interested in, rather than the standard curriculum. Similarly to how the european system works.

What did you do for your Senior Project?

I wrote a book about my travels while studying abroad.

Are you going to College? If so, what for?

Yes, not completely sure yet, but either film or sociology.

What do you want to do with your life?

Live a life full of travel.

What was your favorite thing about high school?

Getting to study abroad and experience a new culture.

What would you change about high school?

What did you do for your Senior Project?

I wrote and intended to direct a play, but ended up making a short film about it.

Are you going to College? If so, what for?

Yes, I am hoping to pursue acting, however I would be okay with anything in drama or film.

What do you want to do with your life?

I want to be relatively successful, and hopefully be able to improve my standard of living. What was your favorite thing about high school?
The social aspect was my favorite part, especially because I was previously homeschooled and felt much more isolated.

What would you change about high school?

I would try to keep up with my homework. Stress is not fun!!

What is one thing that you treasure from your education at MVHS?  

I treasure all the friends I have made and the experiences I have had with them.

How has MVHS prepared you for your next steps in life?  

It has matured me and taught me the necessary skills needed to succeed in life.

What is your next step?

I will be going to Fort Lewis College for my undergraduate and then maybe CU for dental school.

What are you most excited for in your future?

Going to college and starting my adult career.

What is your ideal career?

What did you do for your Senior Project?
My project was about education reform and my experience in public school.

Are you going to College? If so, what for?
Yes, I am going for mathematics and linguistics.

What do you want to do with your life?
I want to work for an organization that is relevant to my background, and making a difference in the world.

What was your favorite thing about high school?
I got to travel a lot and accepted myself. I love myself.

What would you change about high school?
I would change my fighting with teachers and try to communicate better with them in the first place.

What is one thing you will treasure from your education at MVHS?

The friendships and relationships that I have made.

How has MVHS prepared you for your next steps in life?

It has taught me how to study and learn new materials.  It also helped me mature.

What is your next step?

I’m going to UNM in Albuquerque and I’m studying clothing design and business. I will also continue to focus on photography. I hope to start a clothing company with my best friends. I also plan to take a gap year after my first year of college so that I can travel.

What are you most excited for in your future?

To continue to explore my passions with my friends.

What is your ideal career?

I will grow my entrepreneurship skills, and I hope to be in clothing design and own a fashion company.
